Decent bars in Havering / Essex

Been drinking round Hornchurch for a few years now and going to the same old places. Thoroughly boring (I am nearly 37 so young bars of no use).
Anyone recommend any decent places to go around those areas? Dont really want to travel too far out as it will involve trains and taxis.
I honestly dont know anywhere apart from a couple of bars in Hornchurch. Romford is a shit hole, Upminster has one pub....and thats about it.
Any recommendations would be appreciated. Cheers!

Yes - thats one of the two bars I tend to go to. Its generally like a scene out of Cocoon in there.

May I suggest the VBAR in Hornchurch? The Last Chance Saloon I call it.
Some entertaining sights in there.
Funnily enough was down the Suttons on Saturday myself. Never gets old!
